We take pride in having provided careful, and personalized service for over 34 years
Voted “Best Dentist in Clear Creek County” several years running, all aspects of dentistry/oral medicine, are addressed in this office, from family dentistry, to cosmetics and dentures. We do believe in the team approach to dentistry, and work closely with oral surgeons, endodontists (root canals), orthodontists (braces), periodontists (gum specialists), and others to provide the best service possible for our patients.
The Team
Dr. Douvas received his Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology in 1980, from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. After working in Paris, France in transplantation immunology, he moved back to Denver and focused on infection immunity at the Webb-waring Lung Institute, also part of the Health Sciences Center. He received his D.D.S., Cum Lauda, from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry in 1989, afterward completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. Dr. Douvas then moved his laboratory to the School of Dentistry, where he focused on AIDS-related infections. 1989 marked the year he established his dental practice in Idaho Springs.
Jennifer Upright was born and raised in Idaho Springs. She has worked with Dr. Douvas as head of the office and an invaluable assistant since 1997. Jennifer is an avid athelete and provides great support for Dr. Douvas and our patients.
